In brief, Xypex is a cementitious powder product, based upon concrete technology, that covers concrete waterproofing, concrete repair, and concrete protection as a 3-in-1 system. Its cystalline growth penetrates deep into the concrete matrix and becomes an integral part of the concrete itself. Xypex crystal is inorganic and also, a catalyst. It reacts to the by-products of the cement hydration and moisture inside the concrete to form an insoluble crystalline structure deep within the capillary tracts of the concrete. Therefore, it is more resistance to extreme hydrostatic pressure from all directions and it will remian inside the concrete throughout the life of the concrete. Once the concrete develops micro-cracks from future shrinkage or movement, Xypex crystals will reactivate upon contact with the new moisture to reseal micro-cracks up to 0.8mm wide (0.4mm from both sides of the crack surface). This unique feature alone has been proven over extensive testing by many reputable laboratories and is unmatched by any other products claiming to be the same.

Due to its provened reliability, Xypex has been used in many major projects worldwide. Prior to specifying Xypex, Xypex was put through extensive tests by independently appointed world class laboratories such as Japan's Nikki Shoji Central laboratory and the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) when the Japanese government was searching for the most reliable concrete waterproofing and protection system for their nuclear projects. Hence, we wish to alert the design industry that Xypex has NO EQUAL, and should not be misled by similar products claiming the same as Xypex.
