After 20+ years of local experiences in Vietnam, we have developed and customized our application methods on construction details from Xypex's standard specifications. Instead of the typical two coats of Xypex Concentrate and Xypex Modified for the coating system, we have obtained an approved methods of using only Xypex Concentrate for the coating application from Xypex's Technical Director.

The purpose is to increase the potency of the coating dosage, and at the same time, simplify from using two products to just one product for better site control. The reasoning behind this change is because both Xypex Concentrate and Modified are basically formulated with the same ingrediants, except that Xypex Modified has a higher cement content than the Xypex Concentrate in order to provide a harder protective surface. However, since the crystalline protection actually transferred to the concrete structure itself and no longer remain in the coatings after 6 weeks, that coating is no longer needed for waterproofing or protection.
